1. What information do we collect?

   • Device motion data: The Keep Social app collects your motion data to determine when GPS tracking should turn on and off to save battery life. This data is not stored.
   • Location information: When you run the Keep Social app on your device, we collect location data through GPS, wifi, or cellular triangulation. We will use this information after research is complete for analysis. Your data is stored securely on a separate server during the course of the study.

2. How long do we retain your information?

   We will retain your anonymized GPS location data until its research purposes are completed. You can contact at us at any time to ask for your GPS location data to be deleted.

3. Where do we store your information?

   Our database and servers are hosted in Akamai Cloud in the US.

4. How do we protect your information?

   We have implemented industry standard procedures to protect your information.

   • Your location data is encrypted when transmitted to our servers. Once transmitted it is deleted from your device.
   • Our servers are protected by up-to-date encryption and only accessible by authorized researchers.
   • All database storage is encrypted.

5. Do we share your information with outside parties?

   We will not share your personal data with third parties. We will not sell your personal data to any third parties. We may be required to disclose an individual's personal data in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. For example, we may share information to respond to a court order, subpoena, or request from a law enforcement agency.
